Gaudí dedicated 40 years of his life to his best-known work, which remains unfinished. He gave it great symbolic power by claiming that it was an atonement for the world's materialism and an expression of human solidarity and fraternity. When he died only the crypt (which houses his tomb), the apse and theNativity façade, had been finished, the latter’s three doorways topped by four towers, 115m high. Despite huge political wranglings, a decision was taken to complete this revolutionary project.

    Un chantier titanesque pour une eglise encore inachevee mais qui ne ressemble a aucune autre. Un gigantisme en pierre qui a l allure d une eglise de sable. Une belle lumiere. En face, un petit parc avec une petite aire de jeux pour les enfants. Il y a un arret pour les bus touristiques.

    Cons

    Il faut faire la queue aux heures de pointe. De la haut, j ai eu le vertige... Mais quelle vue!

    Visite esta obre de Gaudí hace 8 años y hoy, me sorprendio nuevamente su originalidad. Es muy bonita. Para evitar largas colas, aconsejo hacer la reserva de entradas online.
