The Catalan Archaeological Museum
The Catalan Archaeological Museum : Michelin's recommendations
Created in 1935, the fruit of an initiative led by the illustrious architect Pere Bosch Gimpera. The museum leads you through the various stages of man's existence. You will see pieces from the Paleolithic and Neolithic periods, the Bronze and Iron ages, the Iberic world, the Greek and Phocean colonies, Roman culture and the Wisigothic period. The specialist library has 40 000 volumes and the experimental workshop for the blind teaches how to identify archaeological material through touch.
