The museum is divided into two sections. The prehistory and archaeology section contains objects from the province of Burgos that date back to prehistory. The fine arts section contains local works of art from the 9C onwards. Several objects attract the eye: an hispanic-Arabic chest of ivory made in Cuenca, an altar facing of copper and a 10C ivory diptych. Also see the magnificent tomb of Juan de Padilla.
