Cardona : Michelin's recommendations

Cardona sits at the foot of its castle and the Sant Vicenç collegiate church. The Mediterranean crops grown on its limestone soil make way for Pyrenean landscapes abounding in beech and conifer forests. The village, with its charming arcaded streets, is devoted to mining. It is also the setting for one of Catalonia's most picturesque fairs, known as the Corre de Bou, which takes place in purpose-built arenas in Plaza de la Fira on the last Sunday in September.
