This village in the Arán valley east of Vielha is home to the 11C church of Sant Pedro, one of the finest examples of Aranese Romanesque architecture. The local Romanesque style, which emerged later than in other regions, is characterised, amongst other things, by the basilica-style plan of the churches, which have three naves with barrel vaulting and are extended by apsidal chapels.
