Formentera : Michelin's recommendations
Known as the Island of Wheat to the Romans, Formentera is the fourth largest island in the Balearics. It extends 14km from east to west but is in fact made up of two islets joined by a flat and sandy isthmus. On the western islet stands the main centre (Sant Fransesc de Formentera), the port and salt marshes. On the eastern islet is the Mola promontory, around 200m high and resembling a mountain.
