Gandesa, capital of the Terra Alta, stands in a rich wine-growing region. It has an old town of great architectural interest, with houses dating from the 18C-19C. Don’t forget to buy some wine from one of the many wine cellars (known as “cellers”).

Created in 1919 by Cèsar Martinell (1888-1973), this cellar is covered with flat vaults decorated with mosaics. The parabolic arches are interesting.
