Starting at the Stone Bridge, Rambla de la Llibertat is the main thoroughfare into the Old Town, and Gerona’s busiest street. Bordered by cafés and businesses, its arcades evoke the Middle Ages, at which point in history this street was the setting for an important regional market. The thoroughfare continues as the much narrower Carrer de l’Argenteria which leads to Sant Agustí Bridge.
