The Puig des Molins necropolis was used as a burial place by the Phoenicians from the 7C BC, then by the Romans until the 1C. More than 3000 underground burial vaults were discovered in the hillside, funeral chambers which were reached through a well. Note the bust of the goddess Tanith (5C BC).
