This town was known for its fairs in the Middle Ages. Today, it is an important railway hub and a major agricultural town with a large Sunday market. Isabel the Catholic died here in 1504.

La Mota Castle
NVI E - 47400 Medina del Campo
On a hillside by the town, made of bricks and flanked by an enormous keep, the castle stands proud. Jeanne la Folle stayed here often and the sinister Cesar Borgia was imprisoned here for two years.
