Mondoñedo : Michelin's recommendations

Mondoñedo stands at the bottom of a verdant valley. Its squat houses, with their slate-tiled roofs, and the wide golden stone façade of the cathedral are particularly charming. The streets in the old town are lined with pretty whitewashed houses decorated with coats of arms and wrought-iron balconies. The cathedral square is adorned with attractive arcades and glass galleries known as “solanas”.
