Montblanc lies in an exceptional setting near the confluence of the River Francoli and River Anguera, and commands an impressive view of the local area. It stands in a fertile landscape of vineyards and almond trees, to a backdrop of mountain slopes carpeted in pine groves. Within the town walls, time seems to have stood still in its winding streets, which provide an ideal setting for Medieval Week, when the legend of St George is re-enacted.
