O Cebreiro : Michelin's recommendations

Located close to the Piedrafita pass (1 109m), Cebreiro is a place where it is easy to imagine the hardships undergone by pilgrims on their long and exhausting journey to Santiago de Compostela. Its unusual drystone and thatched houses, one of which houses an ethnographic museum, are descendents of ancient Celtic huts. An inn beside the small 9C mountain church still provides sustenance and shelter to travellers.
