Palafrugell : Michelin's recommendations
Situated a few kilometres from the coast, Palafrugell is a town with significant cultural interest. At the beginning of the 20C, cork made the city prosperous. The birthplace of the prolific writer Josep Pla (1897-1981), Palafrugell is very popular with tourists in summer, who flock here for its festive atmosphere and suquet de peix, a delicious fish-based dish.
