Start the day with a drive to Valldemossa—located near the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains—and see firsthand why this area inspired artists such as Chopin with its views and residents. Take some time to discover the town, and be sure to explore the famous La Cartuja charterhouse, the main draw of Valldemossa.
Later, head to La Granja and see the beautiful 10th-century mansion there, set amid lush vegetation, gardens, and natural fountains. Highly regarded in Roman times due to its plethora of flowing water, La Granja still boasts a 30-foot-high (9-meter-high) natural spring.
