Peñalba de Santiago : Michelin's recommendations

Standing in the heart of the so-called Valle des Silencio, Peñalba has managed to preserve its original architecture. The village developed around the Mozarabic church of Santiago – all that remains of a monastery founded in the 10C. The houses here have shale walls, wooden balconies and slate roofs.
