: Michelin's recommendations
Built entirely of stone, the timeless atmosphere of this place is palpable everywhere among its paved streets: its old houses have magnificent studwork doorways, carved lintels, coats of arms and wood corbels (on Calle Iriandoa and Calle Arana). From its enormous hilltop church, there are views over the town and the valley. The centre of town also has the birthplace of the tenor Julián Gayarre (1844-1890), who lies in a Rococo mausoleum by Mariano Benlliure.
