The Mozarabic 10C building, partly hewn from the rock, has a cubical apse with large sculpted crows. Next to the church, a necropolis of monks buried in the caves was found.

The current monastery was built from the 16-18C. The treasury contains some splendid ivories that decorated two 11C reliquaries, whose precious stones were pillaged by Napoleon's soldiers.
