Sant Joan de les Abadesses
: Michelin's recommendations
A fine 15C medieval bridge spans the Ter at the entrance to the old town of Les Abadesses. The town, named after the monastery of Sant Joan, holds its “Festa Major” on the second Sunday of September, during which the Ball dels Pabordes is performed. This ritual dance pays lavish homage to the “pabordes”, who organise the Festival of the Very Holy Mystery.
