Santo Domingo de la Calzada : Michelin's recommendations
A hermit by the name of Domingo had an inn and hospital built here for pilgrims heading towards Santiago. An important stop on the “Camino Francés”, Santo Domingo has retained its 14C fortifications and the old hospital has been turned into a parador. An annual medieval market takes place in the old town at the same time as the festivals of the Constitution and the Immaculate Conception (6 and 8 December).

Cathedral
