Dominating the breakwater of La Punta stands the church, behind which are the streets of the old town and its flowered balconies. Rusiñol and Miguel Utrillo (father of the French painter) contributed to developing art in the town in the late 19C. This is shown by the museums housed in the neo-Gothic mansions: the Museo del Cau Ferrat, the Museo Maricel del Mar and the Casa Llopis (Museu Romàntic).
