This monumental mausoleum, now in a vineyard, takes the form of two enormous buildings. They were built by a wealthy Roman in the 4C. The first chamber is covered by an immense cupola (diameter 11m) decorated with mosaics on themes favoured by the early Christians, such as hunting scenes, Daniel in the lion's den, etc. The adjoining chamber, which is the same size only square, has an apse on either side. The group of buildings is clearly outstanding although its symbolism remains obscure.
