Toledo’s situation is unique, and can be appreciated all the more from the Cigarrales, extensive olive groves on the south bank of the River Tagus (accessed by the Carretera de Circunvalación as far as Puente de San Martín), where there are several viewpoints including the terrace of the Parador, giving unforgettable views of the city stretching from the castle to the monastery of San Juan de los Reyes. At dusk or in the evening it is even more spectacular.
