The outside of the monastery is relatively austere. The interior by contrast is very representative of the Isabelline style, as it mixes flamboyant Gothic with some Mudéjar and even Renaissance touches. The cloister has a noble appearance with its flamboyant arcades and its original plateresque upper storey. The church has rich sculpted decoration by Juan Guas. Not far away stands a Visigoth palace, as well as a gateway, the Puerta del Cambron.
