Perched on a peak overlooking the Ribera countryside, Ujué has changed little since the Middle Ages, with its winding streets and picturesque façades. In the central chapel of the church of Santa María la Blanca, the Romanesque statue of Santa María la Blanca is both the object of veneration and the central focus of the traditional springtime procession.
