Palace of the Marquess of Dos Aguas – National Ceramics Museum Recommended Recommended : Michelin's recommendations

This magnificent building houses the González Martí National Ceramics Museum. In 1740 the Marquess of Dos Aguas commissioned painter Hipólito Rovira y Meri to redecorate his austere 15C residence in the Baroque style. All its walls were painted by Luis Domingo to give a marbled effect, rich balconies were erected, and the crowning glory was the addition of the alabaster doorway with its high-relief anthropomorphic and foliate carvings (above it is a statue of the Virgin of the Rosary).
