The Oriental Museum is set in a neo-classical college designed by Ventura Rodriguez in the 18C. It has two sections. One is dedicated to Chinese art, with bronzes, porcelain, laquerware, coins and silk embroideries. The other is devoted to the Philippines, where the Spanish were in power from the 16C to the 19C. It is distinctive for its rich pieces of ivory.
