Zamora Museum : Michelin's recommendations

The museum exhibits items of significant historical, artistic and documentary interest. Its Venus, a Paleolithic callipygean sculpture, recalls the famous Willendorf Venus. Celtiberian art is represented by the Arrabalde Hoard. Note the fine sigillated ceramic Roman cup bearing a decorative frieze reminiscent of Greek vases. See also the Massacre of the Innocents of Matías de Torres (1656), M Escosura's delighful 1866 genre painting Parkland Scene, and CV Sioretti's Moths (1920).
