A road across the promontory leads to the northernmost point of Asturias, from where the Peñas Lighthouse has looked out to sea for decades. Splendid views of the coast extend in both directions. Inside the lighthouse building, there is a Museum of Maritime Life exploring the role of lighthouses in sailors’ lives, and the local natural history.
