The San Salvador de Leyre monastery clings to a hillside overlooking the Yesa Reservoir, on the border between Navarra and Aragón. The outstanding church has a beautiful 11C east end, and a robust and archaic crypt. Its portal has been called Porta Speciosa on account of its richly carved decoration.
