The road climbs from Randa up tight hairpin bends to the monastery high on the hillside. The buildings have been restored and modernised by the Franciscans who have lived here since 1913. You may visit the 17C church, the Sala de Grammática, and a small museum. However, the most important feature is the terrace on the west side of the monastery and its wonderful view over Palma, the bay, and the Puig Major chain. In addition, look towards the northeast and see the Cabo de Formentor headland.
