This ría at the mouth of the Tambre is the smallest of the Rías Bajas. The coast strewn with rocks is lower than that of other estuaries, and the wooded northern bank is particularly attractive. Typical local style houses can be seen in the port of Muros. Noia, further upriver on the other bank, is notable for its main square looking out to sea upon which stands the Gothic church of San Martín. Note the beautifully carved portal and rose window.
