The morphology of the rocks and Eocene conglomerated solids sculpted by erosion make this mountain a magnificent site. The abrupt rocks look like human shapes, objects and animals. A source of inspiration for musicians (Wagner set his opera Parsifal here), poets, geographers and travellers, the Monte Serrado is also the most important centre for worship of the Virgin Mary in Catalonia.
