The Upper Ripagorce region has a very abrupt landscape with summits exceeding 3 000m, vast glacial cirques, delightful lake areas and steep valleys in which small villages nestle. It provides an opportunity to admire Romanesque churches, such as those at Taüll or in the Vall de Boí, and to explore the Parque Nacional d'Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici.
