Overlooking Kandy to the north, Udawattakele Forest Reserve is a lush environment and a haven for numerous monkeys and many species of birds (Layard parakeets, yellow-headed bushtits and blue-winged leafbirds). For your safety it is advisable not to go unaccompanied.
