On the periphery of Anuradhapura stands a group of humble monasteries, the domain of the Pansukulika monks who chose to withdraw from the world into their sylvan terrace of meditation. The only tangible luxury were urinals sculpted with allusions to wealth, onto which the monks symbolically urinated.
