Housed in the Hôtel Razé, an elegant Renaissance building and a former abattoir, the collections of this museum show art and history in Fribourg from its origins to the present day. The Middle Ages, a flourishing time, are well represented. The lapidary section shows sculptures from the 15C to the present day (Tinguely). There are also silverware, jewellery and paintings from the 19 and 20C.
