After crossing the Bern Bridge, a pretty wooden construction over the Sarine, you reach the old town. Among its ancient streets you will see reminders of the past, such as the Auberge de la Cigogne (rue d'Or), a former Augustine hostel, and the Fontaine de la Samaritaine (1151), in the street of the same name that leads to Place du Petit-St-Jean, home to many fine buildings and the Fontaine St-Anne (1560).
