Spend a day exploring the alpine beauty of Chamonix and its surroundings. Catch a cable car to the top of a nearby peak, "Aiguille du Midi", and gaze across a mountain range straddling France, Switzerland, and Italy. Hop aboard the red mountain train to reach France's largest glacier and explore an ice grotto carved into the icy surface.
Cross over from Switzerland to France as you head to Chamonix, nestled in a leafy valley at the foot of Europe's highest peak, the Mont Blanc. Let yourself be dazzled by the snow-capped mountains, soaring peaks, and thick fir trees as your tour climbs higher to reach the picturesque village.
From Chamonix, take the cable car to the top of "Aiguille du Midi", a peak soaring 3842 metres (12,600 feet) into the crisp mountain air. Enjoy spectacular views over a mountain range characterized by pinnacles, needles, enclosed valleys, and long glaciers. Choose the lunch option, and savour a hearty three-course meal in the heart of Chamonix. Or, use the time to explore the village at your own pace. End your day by taking the Montenvers train to "Mer de Glace", a breathtaking glacier stretching for 7 kilometres.
