St Peter's Cathedral Recommended Recommended : Michelin's recommendations

Geneva's huge Cathédrale St Pierre was built in the 12C and 13C and has been a Protestant church since 1536. Since then it has been modified several times, with the surprising neo-Greek façade being added in the 18C. Of particular note in the imposing and sober interior is Calvin's seat. From the North Tower, there is a superb panorama over Geneva, the lake, the Jura and the Alps. The cathedral's archaeological crypt (in the basement) represents 2 000 years of history.
