Housed in the Palais de Rumine, this museum is known for its major exhibitions. The permanent collection is made up of works of art by Swiss artists. The museum also contains the largest public collection by Vallotton, who was born in the city. There are some prestigious works by French artists too (Courbet, Cézanne and Renoir, among others).
