Housed in the towns of the former bishop's palace, the collections in this museum are presented in chronological order and retrace the history of Lausanne from its origins to the present day. Note a model of the city as it was in 1638 and several reconstructions of 19C shop windows. The Berne era (17-18C) is well illustrated, as is the development of tourism and business, important stages in local history.
