Installed in the 16C to make use of the force of water from the Locle Valley, the mills were used intensively until the 19C. Transformed into abattoirs then closed, they were then restored. A glorious part of their history has thus been reconstructed. An exhibition of the role and function of mills precedes the visit of the installations. By going down into the caves, visitors can see the galleries and hydraulic mechanism.
