Leuk : Michelin's recommendations

At the end of the Dala Gorge, Leuk rises up in tiers on a mountainside overlooking the Rhône Valley in a landscape that is typical of the southern Valais region. As you enter the town you come upon the esplanade of castles, the names of which (Château des Vidommes and Château des Majors) refer to the titles of officials in the service of the resident Bishop of Sion, and from which vantage point you can enjoy astonishing views over the valley.
