Situated in the place where the Reuss leaves the lake, this covered wooden bridge was entirely rebuilt after a fire in 1993. Dating back to the 14C, and flanked with a large octagonal tower, it used to protet the lake side of the town. It was decorated with 100 paintings on wood by Hans Heinrich Wegmann in the 17C; copies of the old paintings have replaced the originals.
