Pleasantly situated on a headland in the middle of a park heading down to the lake, this was the home of Richard Wagner from 1866-1872. Here is where he met Nietzsche and composed some of his major works (Meistersingers, Siegfried, Gotterdammerrung). On the ground floor are various souvenirs including the Erard piano that accompanied him on varioius journeys.
