This massive 13C fortress flanked by four corner towers houses collections from four museums, the newest of which, the Vaudoise Gendarmerie Museum, opened in 2006. The Swiss Museum of Figurines (dioramas illustrating major historical events with lead soldiers), the Vaudois Military Museum (retrospective of the period from Napoleon's era to the present day) and the Artillery Museum (40 exhibits plus some miniatures).
