Dominating the Allaine Valley with its imposing figure, the castle has retained its medieval tower, Tour Refous (45m), which stands near a group of buildings that now house official services such as the cantonal tribunal. The corridor of the tribunal is lined with portraits of the prince bishops who ruled from 1575 to 1737.
