This modern building was erected in the 1930s to house the original documents of the Confederation. The great room is decorated with the flags of the canton of Schwyz and a fresco by W. Clénin, Le Serment and also contains the original Pact of 1291, the Pact of Brunnen of 1315, franchise charters and alliances concerning the "XIII cantons".
