On a hill in the Spiezberg, overlooking the lake, stands this medieval castle crowned by sturdy towers. It was built in the 12 and 13C and has been enlarged and restored on several occasions. Decorated with woodwork and stained glass windows, the rooms house a museum that contains reminders of its former owners, including some fine furniture. The esplanade at the front of the building was turned into pleasant public gardens.
